38 BC Roman Republic Silver Denarius | Mark Antony | Sol Portrait

A silver denarius from the late Roman Republic, produced in 38 B.C. by Marcus Antonius (Mark Antony). The obverse side of the coin features the sun-god Sol, and the reverse side features Mark Antony in mourning robes (mourning the death of Julius Caesar). The coin has light wear, a strong, well-centered strike, and iridescent toning. Measures 19mm in diameter, weighs 3.7g.
