An 1807 U.S. half dollar coin in VF-20 (Very Fine) condition as professionally graded by the third-party grading company PCGS, with moderate wear and a dark, original patina. Minted at the Philadelphia mint, with no mintmark. This listing is for the exact coin pictured.

The 'draped bust' Liberty design of this half dollar was the 2nd half dollar design used by the U.S., and was used from 1796-1807. The coin features a fairly standard depiction of Lady Liberty on the obverse, with a heraldic eagle on the reverse. 13 stars on either side represent the 13 original colonies. The silver half dollars of the late 18th and early 19th century were produced in small quantities, and most have been melted down or destroyed over the years.

This coin measures 32.5mm in diameter, weighs 13.5g, and is made of .892 fine silver. The coin is encased in a hard plastic slab, professionally graded and certified authentic by PCGS. The slabbed coin will be shipped in a corrugated cardboard safety mailer, via USPS First Class Mail. If you have any questions about the coin (or about coin collecting in general), please send me a message and I'll be happy to respond.
