Light wear, with a dark grey patina and some lighter areas.The half dollar was one of only five denominations produced by the Kingdom of Hawaii, which lasted from the founding of the Kamehameha dynasty in 1795 until an American-sponsored coup d'etat in 1893 led to the overthrow of the dynasty and the annexation of Hawaii into the United States. These silver Hawaiian half dollars, along with dimes, quarters, and dollar coins, were only minted in 1883.
