A silver tetradrachm from Ancient Greece, from the Greek city-state of Attica (Athens). This coin was produced between 440-404 B.C. and features the iconic Athenian Owl design, one of the most famous designs of ancient coins. The coin measures 24mm in diameter, about the size of a quarter.
 
The obverse side of the coin features the portrait of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, while the reverse features an owl, a bird associated with Athena. The coin is professionally graded and authenticated to be in Choice About Uncirculated (AU) condition by the third-party grading company NGC, with light wear, a strong, well-centered strike, and an original patina.
